4.2 Flatten the wheelwell seams
The body seams that protrude down into the wheelwells can cause tire
clearance problems. The result of this tire rub is cuts in the tire
tread. In addition to starting rust (from the paint being rubbed off),
tire rub is one of the easiest ways to break a front axle or birfield,
especially with a front locker and severe rub. Trimming or flattening
these body seams will create nearly an inch more clearance for the tires.
