Searching by Subject Matter
Subject searches are identical to keyword
searches only they search the subject lines of the mail messages
instead of the message body.
When entering your keywords, separate each keyword by a space. Do
not use operators such as AND, OR or NOT. Avoid using "noise
words" in your search. Noise words are words that are not indexed
in the FARC such as "and"
or "the" or "this". These words are far too common
and, if indexed, would slow the site down for everyone.
Note: you can include the wildcard character (*) in your keywords.
The wildcard character is best explained using a few examples:
chev*
would match the keywords chevy, chevette and chevrolet.
As well as chevron and just plain old chev...
*eep
would match the keywords jeep, seep and creep...
*robe*
wold match the keywords probe and roberts.
