If you've installed a suspension lift on your vehicle there's a good chance you may now have encountered "bump-steer". This is the tendency of the vehicle to over react to bumps while driving, causing it to swerve left or right dramatically and often with no advanced notice. This is a very common problem due to steering geometry changes on lifted vehicles.

Up until recently, your only options for steering on a lifted vehicle have been a drop pitman arm or a drop drag link (aka Z-Bar).

Drop pitman arms tend to reduce bump steer, but do not eliminate it. A drop pitman arm also places more stress on your steering box and frame due to the increased leverage.

Neither will Z-Bars eliminate bump steer. Z-Bars also have a bad habit of bending or breaking. And many states and provinces have made the use of bent or welded steering components such as these illegal due to their tendency to fail (not a good thing to have happen as you cruise down the highway).

This Crossover Steering Kit (also known as "Hi-Steer" or "Knuckle-Over" steering) will solve all these problems. It relocates your drag link above your leaf springs, separating the tie rod and drag link while keeping them parallel to each other. This entirely eliminates bump-steer and dramatically improves handling. Plus it moves your drag link up out of the way so there's one less target for the rocks and stumps to grab. Our Cross-Over Steering Kit uses extra heavy-duty tubing to replace your stock drag link AND tie rod (almost twice as thick as the stock parts). It also includes new heavy-duty rod ends and a new steering arm that is made from billet steel (unlike those cast arms we've seen in other kits on the market). The kit is easy to install and can be ordered to work with either a stock Suzuki pitman arm or a Toyota pitman arm for those of you running the Toyota Power Steering setup.

Available in your choice of three different configurations:

BASIC: Relocates drag link only. Includes new drag liknk and steering arm.

STANDARD: Relocates drag link only. Includes new drag link, steering arm and heavy duty tie rod. If you are not going to move the tie rod up and out of the way - you at least should make sure you have something that can handle a good hard hit without bending!

FULL: Relocates drag link AND tie rod above the springs. Includes new drag link, TWO steering arms and heavy duty tie rod. This is what you want!
